WONDER FAIR’S HOBONICHI 2027 RELEASE PARTY

On August 31, Wonder Fair will open from 9-11pm for a special after-hours Hobonichi Release Event! 

If you’re one of the Hoboneople (Hobonichi People), then over the past decade you may have participated in our somewhat chaotic (for us) group buy or maybe you’ve tuned in for one of many unhinged live broadcasts where we attempt to order hundreds of planners and special accessories at their time of release. 

Those days are mercifully behind us now that we are an official Hobonichi ***partner store*** with early access to their catalog of products for the US market. Our 2027 book, cover, and accessories order has already been placed and as of press time 9 of 11 boxes have been delivered! (For our beloved stragglers we ask that youplease envision a map of Memphis in your mind palace and try to psychically nudge our packages loose from the clutches of FedEx!)

So with a bit of good luck, we should have plenty of planner books and a nice selection of covers and accessories on-hand for release IRL in our shop on August 31st, 9pm CST (aka 11am on September 1st in Japan Time). We know what you’re wondering--if you can’t make it to the drop night event, can we pre-sale and hold XYZ cover for you to pick up later? In compliance with Hobonichi rules for retailers, we cannot take any pre-orders before the September 1st release (see more on this below). The other thing you may be wondering: did we order that one thing you want? We hope so! We‘ve posted a list of all of our pre-ordered items and their quantities for you to reference. If you are are a book-only buyer, we ordered *so many* and don’t anticipate stock issues, but perhaps you want to come to the party anyway just for the *vibes!*.

Will you be getting [Hobonichi item]?

Here is THE LIST of Hobonichi products we have on order. Quantities on this list may change once we take delivery of the shipment if there are differences between our ordered and shipped quantities.

Will you hold [Hobonichi item] for me?

We won’t place any holds on Hobonichi items until September 2nd. Before then, items will be available on a first-come, first-served basis to in-store shoppers only.

Can I leave a Dream Card for an item I want?

Sure, but we won’t place anything on hold for Dream Cards inquiries until we’re able to evaluate our remaining inventory after the September 1st drop day.

Can I special order items?

If we don’t have what you’re looking for in stock, we will have additional opportunities to place reorders with Hobonichi over the next few months. If the item you want is still available for us to order, we would be happy to include it on a future order. Please leave a Dream Card and we’ll contact you shortly before placing our order to make sure you still desire the item.

Will you be selling Hobonichi items in your online store?

Sorry, but probably not. Plenty of other stores are great at being online and selling things online, but Wonder Fair is devoted to the offline Stationery lifestyle. To make up for it, we’ll make sure our in-store Hobonichi display is *really* cute.

Will you ship items?

Sure, but we won’t take any orders that require shipping until September 2nd. Our shipping is limited to the contiguous United States.

Will you have Cousins? Original A6 books? Arts/Science editions?

Yes. Lots. You probably don’t need to sweat it. And if we run out, we’ll definitely order more in a few weeks.

Are you ordering Japanese-language books?

Yes. A few. See our order list. For Weeks, the Japanese-language items are denoted with “JPN” rather than “ENG.”

How come you didn’t order more/any of [Hobonichi item]?

Sorry. We’re just trying our best! This was the largest single order of anything we’ve placed in 18 years of business. We had to make our selections in utter secrecy before the lineup was announced, so hopefully we picked out some favorites!

Can I buy 3 of that one cover and then sell 2 of them on Ebay for lots of money?

No. No flippers allowed, and we reserve the right to limit your purchase of limited or low-stock items. Please don’t do this to your fellow Hoboneople.
